A visitation and rosary will take place from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Lakewood Funeral Home for Jose L. Solis, 87, of Hughson. He died Friday, April 4, 2008 in Modesto.
A rosary will begin at 6 p.m., also at Lakewood Funeral Home, 900 Santa Fe, Hughson.
The funeral service will be held at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Fox Road, Hughson at 2 p.m. with burial at Lakewood Memorial Park.
Born March 12, 1921, Mr. Solis resided in Stanislaus County for 50 years and was a foreman in agriculture.
He leaves behind his wife, Maria Solis of Hughson; his children, Juan Solis, Simon Solis, Francisco Rival, Hilario Rival, Antonia Ruiz Solis, Maria Ysais Solis, Eva Garcia and Ignacia Aguilar; and 39 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
