A funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Lakewood Funeral Home for Jose Manuel Ramirez Jr., 27, of Modesto. He died Thursday, May 6, 2004 at Doctors Medical Center.
Burial will be at Lakewood Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Born March 23, 1977, Mr. Ramirez was a native of and lifelong resident of the Ceres-Modesto area. He attended Ceres High School. He worked in bridge construction for Tutor Saliba Construction for four years and was an independent distributor for Quick Star for two years. Mr. Ramirez was a member of the Pile Drivers Union. He enjoyed gardening, yard sales and the Oakland Raiders.
He leaves behind his wife, Venita Prasad Ramirez of Modesto; two children, Jose Manuel Ramirez III and Julissa Alina Ramirez, both of Modesto; his parents, Jose and Lupe Ramirez Sr. of Modesto; his brother, Steven Ramirez of Modesto; his sister, Vanessa Gutierrez of Ceres; and his grandparents, Gonzalo and Eva Ramirez of Modesto, and Maria Rodriguez of Modesto.
