A funeral was held Friday at Church of Christ in Ceres for Joseph Clinton Miller, 87, of Ceres. He died Sunday, March 21, 2004 at his home.

A graveside service was held Monday at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella under the direction of Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel.

Born June 16, 1916, Mr. Miller was a native of Temple, Texas, and had lived in Ceres since 1965. He was a foreman at lumberyards 30 years and had worked at McWilliams Lumber Yard. He was a member of Church of Christ in Ceres, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10293 and American Legion Post 491. Mr. Miller enjoyed photography and gospel singing. He served in the Army from 1942-46.

Mr. Miller leaves behind his wife, Nanna M. Miller of Ceres; two children, Janet Lynn Daniel of Fresno and Kenneth Wayne Miller of Ceres; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
