A funeral was held Friday at Lakewood Funeral Home for Joseph G. Machado, 72, of Ceres. He died Saturday, March 27, 2004 at Doctors Medical Center in Modesto.
Burial was at Lakewood Memorial Park.
Born April 27, 1931, Mr. Machado was a native of Escalon, and lived in Ceres and Stanislaus County all his life. He owned and operated JESCO, Joe's Equipment Sales Co. Inc., on Railroad Avenue. Mr. Machado enjoyed working on diesel engines and gardening.
He leaves behind his wife, Betty Machado of Ceres; four children, Gary Machado, Debi Cole and Judi Ericks, all of Ceres, and Pamela Hensley of North Carolina; his brother, Manuel Machado of Modesto; four sisters, Mary Youtz of Escondido, and Virginia D'Allesandro, Marguerite Justice and Teresa Allen, all of Modesto; and six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
