A memorial service was held Sunday at Freedom Park in Modesto for Kathryn Tillery Sloan, 63, of Modesto. She died Aug. 1, 2012.
Born Nov. 24, 1948 in Glendale, Kathryn was the daughter of Winfred and Ilene Sparks. During her childhood she moved to Ceres, where she graduated from Ceres High School. Mrs. Sloan then attended beauty school, then worked as a florist at Country Shelf Floral for 10 years. She loved going to work everyday and spending time with her daughter and step-son. Her grandchildren meant the world to her.
She leaves behind her husband, George Sloan; her daughter Jennifer Tillery Pasillas; her step-son, Kyle Sloan; and two grandsons, Gabriel Pasillas and Jacob Pasillas.
