Lakewood Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for Kenneth N. Hansen, 90. He died Dec. 25, 2010.
At his request there were no services. Interment was at Lakewood Memorial Park.
Born April 21, 1920 in Modesto to H. Victor Hansen and Ceola Mae Hansen, Ken graduated from Hughson High in 1938. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corp from August 1942 to February 1946. Mr. Hansen then attended Modesto Junior College and Chico State College. He retired from the Stanislaus County Social Services Department in 1982 after over 24 years of service. Ken was an avid sports fan and had a passion for gardening, raising vegetables and fruit trees and creating wood projects. He was a member of the American Legion Post 74 and Resco.
He leaves behind his wife of 63 years, Barbara J. Hansen; hi children, Patricia Weiglein, Chris Hansen, and Janice Stark; his sister, Marjorie Moser; four grandchildren, Michelle Buchanan, Andrew Weiglein, Brooke Stark and Jennifer Stark; and his great-grandson, Rivers Buchanan. He was preceded in death by sisters Shirley Hass, and Dorothy Coleman.
