A funeral service was held Thursday at the Colonial Chapel of Franklin & Downs for Kyle B. Dornan, 66, of Ceres. He died Sept. 30, 2007.
Born June 28, 1941 in Oklahoma, Mr. Dornan moved to the Ceres area 33 years ago. He was a self-employed locksmith for 17 years and also enjoyed rebuilding anything for churches to classic automobiles.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy I. Dornan of Ceres; his children, Debbie Mello of Ceres, Bill Dornan of Oklahoma, and Randall Dornan of Ceres; his stepchildren, Diana Shaw of Modesto, Mike Packer of Ceres, Debbie Simpson of Modesto, Sarah Simpson of Modesto, and Anthony Simpson of Modesto; his brothers, Floyd Dornan, DeRoy Dornan, and James Dornan; and his sister, Velva Dornan; and 11 grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren.
