A Mass was held Thursday at St. Jude's Catholic Church for Laura Alicia Tapia, 36, of Ceres. She died Sunday, Aug. 1, 2004 at Doctors Medical Center in Modesto.
Burial was at Ceres Memorial Park under the direction of Evins Funeral Home.
Born July 24, 1968, Miss Tapia was native of Michoacan, Mexico, and lived in Ceres for 20 years. She was a homemaker for 17 years and a member of St. Jude's Catholic Church in Ceres. Mrs. Tapia enjoyed playing with her children.
She leaves behind her companion, Guillermo Rivera of Ceres; five children, Rosario Rivera, Mayra Lucia Rivera, Angel Manuel Rivera, Guillermo Rivera Jr. and Abraham Rivera, all of Ceres; her mother, Francisca Cardenas-Alvarado of Menlo Park; her father, Jose Tapia of Mexico; her brother, Aurelio Tapia Cardenas of Guadalajara, Mexico; and her grandmother, Salome Alvarado of Modesto.
