Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Lakewood Funeral Home's Riverside Chapel for Leautha Lanora "Lee" Nutt Anderson, 90, of Modesto. She died Nov. 15, 2011 in Modesto.

A funeral service will take at 10 a.m. Friday.

Born July 26, 1921 to Lloyd and Mary Nutt near El Reno, Okla., she was the second born of seven sisters. She married in 1941 in Vinita, Okla., then came west to California with husband Alfred "Andy" Anderson in 1942. They settled in southern California, eventually traveling north to permanently reside in Modesto in 1945. Lee was an active "Gold Star" grandmother and was a faithful member of Calvary Temple Worship Center in Modesto where she was also a member of the church choir.

She leaves behind four sons, Dwight A. Anderson of Oakdale, Thomas E. Anderson of Sonoma, and Michael D. Anderson and Troy A. Anderson, both of Modesto; three sisters, Gladys W. Antle, Joann Delhart and Janice Pence, all of Ceres; and 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband of 63 years Andy Anderson, and grandson, Marine Cpl. Michael Anderson Jr., who was killed in combat action during the successful Battle of Fallujah in December 2004.
