A service was held Friday at Lakewood Funeral Home for Lee R. King, 65, of Ceres. He died Saturday, Oct. 29, 2005 at Doctors Medical Center in Modesto.

Burial was at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella.

Born June 17, 1940, Mr. King was a native of Winnsboro, La., and lived in Ceres for 40 years, and previously lived in Cloverdale for 15 years. He was a forklift driver for Con Agra for 15years. Mr. King was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of Teamsters Local 748.

He leaves behind three brothers, Royce King of Yuba City, Charlie King of Cloverdale and George King of Salida; and six sisters, Yvone Myers of Yakima, Wash., Jean Beaumont of Jackson, and Dolly Greer, Lottie Yarbrough, Margaret Forrest and Leitha Davis, all of Modesto. He was preceded in death by one sister.
