A funeral Mass was held Tuesday at St. Jude's Catholic Church in Ceres for Leticia Garcia Macias, 38. She died Nov. 24, 2009 after a battle with breast cancer.
Burial was at Lakewood Memorial Park under the direction of Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel.
Born March 9, 1971, Leticia grew up in Modesto and graduated from Downey High School in 1990. She moved to San Diego and began her career with the San Diego County Sheriff's Department. Leticia later transferred to the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Department. Leticia will be remembered for the manner in which she immersed herself into God's hands and her unwavering faith.
Survivors include daughter Isabel and son Xavier.
