A graveside service was held Wednesday at Lakewood Memorial Park for Linda K. Hicks Kirkland, 62, of Ceres. She died May 20, 2009, surrounded by family at the Andrew Cohen Hospice House in Hughson.
Born Nov. 21, 1946, Linda worked for Stanislaus County for over 30 years. After retiring in 2004 she was able to fulfill a life long dream of moving to Mariposa. Linda enjoyed camping, being with friends and family, and hosting birthday parties for family members.
She leaves behind two daughters Brook Osterli of Modesto and Regina Williams of Nevada, Texas; her sisters, Yvetta Wanner of Rifle Colo., and Sheila Bruton of Ceres; her brother, Stan Hicks of Ceres; and three grandchildren, Rylee Osterli, Amanda Williams and Matthew Williams.
