A funeral service was held Thursday at the Modesto Revival Center for Lonnie Black Jr., 73, of Ceres. He died Aug. 29, 2007.
Evins Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Born May 7, 1934, Mr. Black was born in Austin, Texas and lived in Ceres for 15 years.
He leaves behind his wife, Sandra Black of Ceres; his children, Lonnie Black III and September Lohnette Black; his brother, Willis Black of Oakland; his sister, Luella Burse of Austin, Texas; and four granddaughters.
