A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. today at Ceres Memorial Park for Lorene Stiffler (Smith), 97, of Ceres. She died on Feb. 7, 2012.

The Ceres Chapel of Franklin & Downs is in charge.

Lorene was born Oct. 11, 1914 in Shawnee, Okla., to A. T. and Mary Stricklin. She was married to Clarence Stiffler for 27 years. Mrs. Stiffler enjoyed fishing and gardening. She was a member of the Ceres Christian Church.

She leaves behind her son, Leroy Stiffler of Ceres; her sisters, Lena Harris of New Orleans and Merle Beckwith of Modesto; three grandchildren, David Stiffler of Georgia, Mike Stiffler of Ceres and Tori Turner of Modesto; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Clarence Stiffler, son Jack Stiffler, brother Ben Stricklin and grandson Doug Stiffler.

Remembrances may be sent to Community Hospice or Alexander Cohen Hospice House.
