Lynne Anne Berryhill Trio, a sister of state Senator Tom Berryhill and former state Assemblyman Bill Berryhill, died last Thursday after a brief battle with pneumonia.

Mrs. Trio was a pancreatic cancer survivor and was in a clinical trial for lung cancer at the time of her passing.

The family will hold a private Celebration of Life.

Lynne and her husband Sam Trio, who once owned and operated Lone Tree Printing on Fourth Street in Ceres, recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary.

Born July 21, 1954, Lynne was the daughter of the late Clare and Maryellen Berryhill of Ceres. Clare Berryhill was an influential grape grower who served terms in both the California State Senate and state Assembly and as director of Food & Agriculture. She graduated from Ceres High School in 1972 and Chico State University as a child development major.

She was an avid gardener, passionate Giants fan, and loved to read. In 2015, she fulfilled a lifelong dream when she traveled with family to Paris and England.

Besides her husband and brothers, she leaves behind one daughter, Breana; and two sons, Zack and Nick, and their wives, Devon & Kristal; two sisters, Betsy and Jane; her grandchildren, Kylie, Brook and Lou; three sisters-in-law, Triana, Lorretta and Bunny; and nieces and nephews.
