A Mass will held Wednesday at St. Jude's Catholic Church in Ceres for Marcelino Gomez, 54, of Modesto. He died Saturday, June 19, 2004 at Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock.
Burial was at Lakewood Memorial Park under the direction of Lakewood Funeral Home.
Born Jan. 6, 1950, Mr. Gomez was a native of Mexico and had lived in Modesto for 21 years. He was a painter employed by Patterson Frozen Foods for 21 years. Mr. Gomez was a member of St. Jude's Catholic Church in Ceres and enjoyed painting houses.
He leaves behind his wife, Alicia Gomez of Modesto; five children, Jorge F. Gomez, Blanca Gomez, Abigail Gomez, Alexis Gomez and Maddox Gomez, all of Modesto; his mother, Francisca Gomez of Modesto; three brothers, Gilberto Gomez, Jorge Gomez and Ramon Gomez, all of Modesto; and seven sisters, Trinidad Gomez and Carmen Gomez, both of Mexico, Augustina Guitron and Leticia Gutierrez, both of Modesto, Elisa Ortiz of Lakewood, Maria Torres of Riverbank and Ana Lepe of Chicago. He was preceded in death by one brother.
