Marcelino S. Alejandre

A Mass was held Friday morning at St. Jude's Catholic Church for Marcelino S. Alejandre, 76, of Ceres. He died of natural causes at his home on Sunday, Sept. 5, 2004.

The McHenry Chapel of Franklin & Downs was in charge of burial at Winton District Cemetery.

Born Sept. 18, 1927, Mr. Alejandre was a native of Michoacan, Mexico, and lived in Ceres for 11 years. He owned his own restaurant. Mr. Alejandre was a member of St. Jude's Catholic Church in Ceres and was very active in his active. He also belonged to the Knights of Columbus at St. Jude's Catholic Church.

He leaves behind his wife, Arlene Alejandre of Ceres; seven children, Sister Mary Amezcua of San Leandro, Mary Alice Bulkeley of Colfax, Joseph Santiago Alejandre, Rebecca Peloso and Victor Alejandre all of Manteca, Irene Alejandre of Ceres, and Veronica Alejandre of Modesto; his sister, Eva Torres of Mexico City, Mexico; and 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
