Marco Antonio Ruelas

Marco Antonio Ruelas, 26, of Newman, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2015 at Doctors Medical Center in Modesto.

Mr. Ruelas was born in Modesto and was a lifetime resident of Newman. He was a winery worker for 6 years. He was a parishioner of St. Joachim's Catholic Church in Newman. He was an avid Raider Fan, a sportsman who enjoyed fishing and cooking.

Mr. Ruelas is survived by his mother, Augustina Pizarro of Newman; his father, Isaac Ruelas of Texas; his step-father, Jose Lopez of Newman; his uncle and aunt, Alfred and Maria Negrete of Ceres; three brothers, Jose Lopez and Seth Lopez, both of Newman, and Isaac Ruelas, Jr. of Colorado; his cousin, Alexander Negrete of Ceres; and many loving family members and friends.

A memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 6 at St. Joachim's Catholic Church in Newman. Interment will follow at Hills Ferry Cemetery in Newman.

Services will be conducted by Hillview Funeral Chapel of Newman.
