A Mass was held Thursday at St. Jude's Catholic Church for Maria Amelia Quezada, 76, of Modesto. She died Sunday, April 18, 2004 at her daughter's home.
Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements and burial at the San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery in Stockton.
Born May 22, 1927, Miss Quezada was a native of Irapuato, Guanajato, Mexico, and had lived in Modesto since 1987. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Jude's Catholic Church in Ceres. Mrs. Quezada enjoyed gardening.
She leaves behind eight children, Sammy Juarez, Rebecca Quezada, Virginia Garcia and Jerry Beas, all of Modesto, Diana Rodriguez of Parker, Ariz., Lucy Nunez of Orange, Petra Villamar of Irvine and Christina Lava of Calipatria; her sister, Virginia Vasquez of Irapuato; and 27 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
