A visitation and Rosary were held Jan. 17 at Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel for Maria Celia Salcedo, 82, of south Modesto. She died Jan. 11, 2011 with her family at her side.
A funeral Mass was held at St. Jude's Catholic Church in Ceres on Tuesday.
Born Sept. 11, 1928 in Jalisco, Mexico, Maria spent her latter years in the Ceres-Modesto area.
She leaves behind her husband, Monico Salcedo; her two children, Ana and Antonio; a brother, Hilario; and six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by daughter Yolanda.
