Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today (Wednesday, Nov. 7) at Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel for Maria Celes Rubio, 77, of Modesto. She died Nov. 4, 2007 at the Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Salas Brothers.
A committal will follow at St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery in Modesto.
Born Jan. 2, 1930, Mrs. Rubio was a housewife who formerly lived in Modesto.
She leaves behind six children, Elvira Salazar, George Rubio, Gloria Adams, Ricardo Rubio, all of Modesto, and Armida Rubio and Pragedes Rubio Jr., both of Ceres; her brothers, Jesus Rocha of Modesto and Archie Rubio of Mexico; two sisters, Jackie Sherman of Modesto and Rosa Alejo of Stockton; and 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
