A graveside service was held Jan. 8 at Ceres Memorial Park for Marta Rivas, 71, of Ceres. She died Dec. 23, 2007 at her home.

Evins Family Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Rivas was born Oct. 28, 1936.

She leaves behind her children, Gilberto Herrera and Anna Menendez; her sister, Bertha Cerritos; her brother, Juan Linares and four grandchildren.
