A funeral was held Friday at Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation for Mary Evthokia Yianopoulos Tronis, 93, of Ceres. She died Monday, Nov. 28, 2005 at her home.

Burial was at Lakewood Memorial Park under the direction of Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel.

Born June 27, 1912, Mrs. Tronis was a native of Boston and had lived in Ceres since 1973. She previously lived in San Francisco since 1938. Mrs. Tronis was a real state investor. She was a member of Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation, Philophochos Society, Golden Circle Lodge and the Ceres Senior Citizens Club. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting.

She leaves behind her daughter, Gloria Vincent of Ceres; her brother, George Johnson of Oakland; and two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Tronis; three brothers; and one sister.
