The Neptune Society was in charge of arrangements for Marybelle B. Oliver, 92, of Modesto. She died peacefully in her sleep on Sept. 21, 2009.
Born Dec. 20, 1916 in the Imperial Valley to Manuel and Mary Macedo, Marybelle graduated from Manteca High School. She went on to graduate from beauty college and then operated her own beauty shop in Danville. Mrs. Oliver was manager of Hughson Dental Arts in Hughson for over 20 years. She was also a member of the California State Board of Cosmotology. She spent many hours caring for her yard, and enjoying plants and flowers.
She leaves behind three children, Gary Oliver of Modesto, and Judy Date of Turlock, and B.J. Schanzle of Honolulu, Hawaii. She was preceded in death by husband Louis J. Oliver, brother Albert Macedo of Manteca, and sisters Alice Nunes and Ann George.
