A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 14 at Lakewood Memorial Park in Hughson for Maurice Glen Bradford, 86, of Ceres. He died peacefully on March 30, 2012 at his home.

Born March 20, 1926 in Tribune, Mo., Maurice graduated from Dixon High School in Dixon, Mo., and moved to Ceres in 1945. He married Helen Graham in 1948 and they shared 61 years of marriage together. Mr. Bradford retired from Merchant Refrigeration in 1988. Maurice was a member of Village Chapel Free-Will Baptist Church and then First Baptist Church of Ceres. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed traveling and visiting relatives across the United States. He also treasured time spent with his children and grandchildren.

He leaves behind three children, Deborah Sasser of Ceres, Rick Bradford of Sun Valley and Kenneth Bradford of Ceres; three brothers, Lawrence Bradford and Bill Bradford, both of Ceres, and James Bradford of Salinas; his sister, Juanita Morrow of Modesto; eight grandchildren, Cherilyn Bradford, Rebecca Deaver, Amy Bradford, Jeremiah Sasser, Nathaniel Bradford, Leah Poaster, Elizabeth Bradford and Amber Pecsek; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by wife Helen Bradford, son Gary Bradford and brother Frank Bradford and parents Glen and Clara Bradford.
