Maurice Richard Moniz Jr. "Junior", 19, of Ceres, California passed away on November 8, 2013.
Junior was born and raised in Ceres and graduated from Ceres High in 2012. Junior worked side by side with his dad building a family business, Moniz Tallow Company, Inc. He was a mamma and daddy's boy. He loved to build lifted trucks, hang out with family and friends, ride his Harley and especially loved living life to the fullest with the motto, "work hard play less."
He is survived by his long-time girlfriend, Morgan Ogden whom he loved and their three dogs (kids). He is preceded in death by his uncle Vito Owen Fontana.
He is also survived by his mother, Sue Fontana-Moniz of Ceres; his father and step-mom, Maurice Moniz, Sr. and Jamie Moniz of Denair; his brother, Vinnie Fontana and wife Val and nieces Faith and Emma, all of Waterford; brother Jacob Morris; youngest brother, Brayden Moniz of Denair; three sisters, Kadee Moniz of Ceres, Nichole Morris of Turlock, Jessica Morris and nephew Logan Tremble of Turlock; and his grandparents, Vito Fontana and Barbara Kirkpatrick of Modesto, and Manuel Moniz, Sr. and Virginia Moniz of Modesto. He also leaves behind uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
He was a member of Ballin' On a Budget Truck Club of Denair, Show Off Motor Sports of Modesto, Mike Creech Automotive Diesels of Oakdale and Rui Esteves Power Components of Turlock.
Visitation will be held at Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Chapel, 286 West Main St., Turlock, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 15.
Rosary will be held at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church at 7:30 pm on Friday November 15, 2013 located at 2602 S Walnut Rd, Turlock. Funeral
Mass will be held at 11am also at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church on Saturday November 16, 2013.
Burial to follow at Lakewood Funeral Home located at 900 Santa Fe Ave, Hughson.
Reception to follow at the Turlock Ballroom located 528 N. Golden State Blvd., Turlock.
