Services were held Sunday at Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel in Modesto for Michael Ryan Vera, 19, of Modesto. He died Dec. 17, 2007 at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital, at Stanford Medical Center.
Burial was at Ceres Memorial Park.
Born Aug. 24, 1988, Michael was a life time resident of Modesto. He graduated from Grace Davis High School in June. Michael was a member of World of War Crafts Players. He enjoyed computers, go-carting, and snow boarding.
He leaves behind his mother, Phyllis Vera of Modesto; two sisters, Elizabeth Vera of Modesto, and Sylvia Davis, of Vanderburg Air Force Base; his grandparents, Darlene Taylor of Ceres, Mary Vera of Turlock, Philip and Robbin Wignall of Chino Hills; step-father, Gary Walker of Modesto; and great-grandmother, Jewell Keech of Salida. He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Vera; and his grandfather, Cruz Vera.
