There were no public services for Mildred "Millie" Pauline Trantham, 85, of Ceres. She died Sept. 23, 2011 at the Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson.
Born Sept. 11, 1926, in Antlers, Okla., Millie came to Ceres 67 yeas ago with her late husband, Henry "Hank" Trantham. She worked in the frozen food industry for many years. She was very involved with the community, the Ceres Woman's Police Auxilary, and all school functions with her four children. She was a member of Calvary Chapel of Modesto.
She leaves behind her children, Lauthell Moreno of Empire, Henry "Hal" Trantham of Ceres, Lisa Zipser of Ceres and Polly Trantham of Ceres; her brother, Everett Boykin of Modesto; her sister, LaVern Butt of Las Vegas, Nev.; and eight grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband Hank Trantham, mother Mallie Boykin, brother C.B. Boykin, mother-in-law Tula Trantham, brother-in-law Jack Trantham and son-in-law Herber Moreno.
