Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel in Modesto for Monta Mae Barrow, 88, of Ceres. She died Aug. 11, 2007.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the chapel, 419 Scenic Drive, Modesto.
Entombment will follow at Ceres Memorial Park.
Born March 26, 1919, Mrs. Barrow was a native of Newark, Ark. She was a longtime Ceres resident. Mrs. Barrow retired from John Ingles Frozen Foods and she vounteered at Modesto City and Doctors hospitals.
She leaves behind her husband of 57 years, Velter "Pete" Barrow of Ceres; her children, Priscilla Lee of Tuneyville, Mo., Fran Stanford of Riverbank, Edith Robinson of Reno, Nev., Junior Barrow of Coarsegold, Chris Wright of Antioch, and Bill Barrow of Sacramento; and 20 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by daughters Fern Elsworth and Cindy Killmer.
