A memorial service was held Friday at Richland Faith Assembly in Ceres for Norma Jean Clark, 77, of Modesto. She died Nov. 23, 2008 at Seasons in Modesto.

Graveside services were private.

Born Feb.10, 1931, Mrs. Clark was a native of Roswell, N.M., and accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior as a young girl. She moved to Modesto during her senior year of high school. Norma graduated from Modesto High School. She married Richard Clark on August 6, 1948.

Mrs. Clark became the executive secretary for Dr. Robert Elliott, superintendent of Modesto City Schools. She later joined the staff at Neighborhood Church and served as secretary for pastors Roy Blakeley, John Blakeley and Ken Jones. She attended Richland Faith Assembly Church in Ceres.

She leaves behind her daughter, Linda Broersma of Modesto; her sister, Lilla Conkle of Modesto; two brothers, Delbert Pack of Texas and Jerry Pack of Modesto; and two grandchildren, Jonathan Broersma of Fresno and Jennifer Blythe of Modesto. She was preceeded in death by her husband of 50 years, Richard Clark, infant twins sons, Richard and Norman Clark, parents Prentice and Blanche Pack, and sister Juanita Wells.
