Services were held for Nyla Rose Blankenship, 74, of Ceres. She died on Saturday, Sept. 1 at her son's home.
Born June 16, 1933, Mrs. Blankenship was born in Sioux Falls, S.D., and had lived in Ceres for nearly 20 years. She retired from the phone company and still kept in touch with her many friends.
She leaves behind two sons, Thomas Blankenship of Eaton, N.H., and Michael Stafford of Kelseyville; her sisters, Grace Berdino of Ceres and Donna Jarman of Albuquerque, N.M.; and eight grandchildren and four-great-grandchildren.
