A memorial service will be held at noon Saturday at CrossPoint Community Church, 1301 12th St., Modesto, for Ola Faye Chenault Sinclear, 85, formerly of Ceres. She died on August 14, 2012.

Born Oct. 21, 1926 in Marlowe, Okla., to John and Ola Chenault. She moved to Modesto when she was 14 with her family and graduated from Modesto High School in 1944. She married Dale Douglas Sinclear in 1949 and they made their home on the family dairy in Ceres and enjoyed 49 years of marriage before his death November 1997. Ola worked as a telephone operator in a Modesto before she married Dale and became a full-time homemaker after they were married. She took good care of her "boys" - husband Dale and son Stan - while they worked the family dairy. She also sold Avon and Home Interiors for several years. Mrs. Sinclear enjoyed spending time with family, knitting, sewing, crocheting, gardening and traveling.

She leaves behind her children, Stan Sinclear of Ceres, Susan Pratt of Modesto and Sheila Loewen of Folsom; five grandchildren, Erin Machado of Ripon, Jeff Pratt of Modesto, Paul Pratt of Modesto, Richard Loewen of San Diego and Mathew Loewen of Folsom; and 10 great-grandchildren, Kayley, Emily, Justin, Sarah, Benjamin, Garrett, Michael, Dillon, Maci and Caleb. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, two sisters and daughter-in-law, Judy Sinclear.
