Patrick W. Davis

A funeral service was held Sunday at Allen Mortuary in Turlock for Patrick W. Davis, 76, of Ceres. He died Aug. 19, 2009 at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto.

Born Oct. 1, 1932 in Oklahoma, Patrick later joined the Army and served in the Korean War. He was a hard working man, who was a self employed Carpenter for 57 years. Patrick suffered many years from severe heart problems, but his struggles never stopped him from being a generous loving man. Mr. Davis was an active member of the Jehovah's Witnesses Mountain View Congregation.

He leaves behind his wife Shirley Davis of Ceres; five children, Debbie Smith of Oklahoma, Thomas Davis of Redding, Ivy Johnson and Milton Davis, both of Colorado, and Jonathan Davis of Waterford; three stepchildren, Alan Kirby of Red Bluff, Sharon Schuck of Tracy and John Kirby of Ceres; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by first wife Jean Marjorie Davis, a sister and a brother.
