Private services were held for Patti Sue Gordon, 67, of Ceres. She died peacefully on March 20, 2010 in her home with family and her son holding her hand.
Born Jan. 30, 1943 to Robert and Beulah Banghart Collier at Fort Madison, Iowa, Patti was a lifelong resident of Stanislaus County. She was a graduate of Modesto High School and was a homemaker and worked as a CMA earlier in life. Patti enjoyed traveling, camping decorating, gardening, entertaining friends with parties and spending time with family. She was known as the "Skydiving Granny."
She leaves behind her husband of 33 years, Joe Gordon of Ceres; her sons, Michael Nielson of Phoenix, Ariz, Craig Nielson of Roseville and Scott Naylor of Ceres; her brother, Jack Collier of Grants Pass, Ore.; her sister, Barbara Leveque of Ceres; and three grandchildren.
