A funeral was held Tuesday at Turlock Funeral Home for Paul Ackerman, 53, of Ceres. He died Sept. 7, 2011 of respiratory complications.
Burial was at Turlock Memorial Park.
Born Dec. 19, 1957, Paul grew up on a small ranch in Turlock where he learned to milk cows and helped around since a small boy. Mr. Ackerman left home with 50 cows and started his own dairy. His hard work grew the business to 1,300 head. As a dairyman he enjoyed his work immensely.
He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Debbie Ackerman of Ceres; his daughter, Madeline Ackerman, 6, of Ceres; and his sister, Maryanne O'dell of Turlock.
