A funeral service was held Tuesday at the the Ceres Chapel of Franklin & Downs for Pearl Hammons McCleary, 90, of Ceres. She died Thursday, Aug. 18, 2005 at Doctors Medical Center in Modesto.
Burial was at Lakewood Memorial Park.
Born Aug. 5, 1915, Mrs. McCleary was a native of Leslie, Ark., and had lived in Ceres since 1987. She was a laundress for 25 years. Mrs. McCleary was a member of the Pentecostal Church of God.
She leaves behind her caregiver and granddaughter, Danell Wingo of Hartsville, S.C.; her brother, Henry Hammons of Tulsa, Okla.; and one grandchild and three great-grandchildren.
Burial was at Lakewood Memorial Park.
