A graveside service was held Thursday at Lakewood Memorial Park for Pearl Wilhelminia Anna Erickson Cole, 86, of Ceres. She died Monday, April 5, 2004 at Vintage Faire Convalescent Hospital in Modesto.
The Ceres Chapel of Franklin & Downs was in charge of arrangements.
Born March 14, 1918, Mrs. Pearl was a native of Red Oak, Iowa, and lived in Ceres for 55 years. She worked for Tillie Lewis Foods and had also worked for Miner's Department Stores and Kenny's Hardware. Mrs. Cole was a member of the Teamsters Retirees Local 386, American Legion Auxiliary Turlock Unit 88 and 8-40 Salon 460.
She leaves behind two daughters, Deanna Hancock and Lynda Groves, both of Ceres; her sister, Evelyn Howell of Summerland Key, Fla.; and seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Cole; and sons, Dennis Cole and Terry Cole.
