The Ceres Chapel of Franklin & Downs is in charge of arrangements for Pedro B. Garcia, 80, of Keyes. He died Feb. 14, 2008 at his home.

A rosary will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Ceres Chapel of Franklin & Downs. A mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Jude's Catholic Church in Ceres. A committal service will be held afterward at Ceres Memorial Park.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at the the memorial chapel.

Mr. Garcia was born Oct. 16, 1927 and worked for the Santa Fe Railroad for 32 years. He was a volunteer for the Keyes Citizens Patrol for five years. He enjoyed the great outdoors, fishing and hunting, dancing and going to the casinos. Mr. Garcia also dearly loved being with his family.

He leaves behind his wife of 54 years, Genevieve Garcia of Keyes; six children, Pete Garcia of Modesto, Marcial Garcia of Turlock, Josie Garcia, Paula Nicolas and Paul Garcia, all of Keyes, and Patricia Esparaza of Ceres; his brothers, Jesus Flores and Jessie Valasquez, both of Orange County; and 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
