Visitation will be held 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel in Modesto for Philip David Bailey, 75, of Modesto. He died April 20, 2008.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the chapel.

Born Aug. 28, 1932, Mr. Bailey was a native of Hughson and served in the Army from 1952 to 1954. He was a truck driver for Modesto Tallow Company. His hobbies included iron works, knife making and woodworking.

He leaves behind his wife, Patricia Bailey of Modesto; two children, Judy P. Frey of Castle Rock, Wash., and David M. Bailey of Kent, Wash.; his brother, Tom Bailey of Bakersfield; and two grandchildren, Brian Frey and Kevin Frey. He was preceded in death by parents Swan and Mary Bailey, sister Eunice Sise and brother Jesse Bailey.

Remembrances may be sent to Case de Modesto Retirement Center, 1745 Eldena Way, Modesto, CA.
