A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Lakewood Memorial Park for R. Duane Barnhart, 55, of Modesto. The former Ceres resident died Thursday, Aug. 19, 2004.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Lakewood Funeral Home.
Born Feb. 19, 1949, Mr. Barnhart was a native of Winchester Bay, Ore., and lived in Modesto and Ceres most of his life. He was employed by Bambacigno Steel in Modesto as an estimator and worked at Hogan's Steel in Escalon for 15 years. Mr. Barnhart graduated from Ceres High School in 1957. He served in the Navy from 1968-72.
He leaves behind his wife, Glenda Barnhart of Modesto; two children, Jodi Barnhart of Modesto and Kari Barnhart of South Lake Tahoe; his mother, Leona Barnhart of Modesto; and his brother, Craig Barnhart of Modesto. He was preceded in death by his father, Riley Barnhart.
Remembrances may be sent to a favorite charity.
