A funeral service was held Sept. 30 at Saint Mary's Church of the East in Hughson for Rabka Ishak, 79, of Ceres. She died Sept. 26, 2011 of heart related illness, surrounded by loved ones.
Lakewood Memorial Park & Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.
Born July 1, 1932 in the Province of Dohok, Iraq, to Gwargis and Shmoni Ishak, Rabka spent most of her life in Iraq where she married Ishaq Lachin in 1946 and was blessed with four beautiful children. She moved to Ceres in 1990 and during her years she touched many lives. She was a devout Christian.
She leaves behind children, Khazzo Maksoud and Shleemon Lachin, both of Ceres, Marlin Soro of Norway, and Zaia Lachin of Chicago; two brothers, Shimon and Boweth Echi; her sister, Mame Echi; and nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
