A memorial service was held Saturday at Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel for Ralph Clarence Sand, 64, of Ceres. He died Monday, Aug. 2, 2004 at his home.
Born June 28, 1940, Mr. Sand was a native of French Camp and had lived in the Modesto-Ceres area since 1960 and previously lived in Ripon for 20 years. Mr. Sand was a self-employed building contractor. He enjoyed rafting and snow skiing.
He leaves behind his son, Vince Sand of Escalon; his brother, Jim Sand of Medford, Ore.; his sister, Gail Fontana of Ceres; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Mark Sand.
