A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Turlock for Randal Paul Smith, 38, of Ceres. He died on Jan. 13, 2011.
Burial will follow at Turlock Memorial Park under the direction of Allen Mortuary.
Born in Turlock in January, 1973, Randal was raised mostly in Turlock, and when he was about 12, moved to Wisconsin. In 1995, he moved back to the Valley and lived here since then. Randal had worked for Richland Market, The Bronze Body, Hilmar Cheese and CSUS. Mr. Smith was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He enjoyed being outdoors.
He leaves behind his father and stepmother, Jerry and Nancy Smith of Turlock; his mother and stepfather, Agnes and Duane Green, of Turlock; two brothers, Gerald Smith of Ceres and Jason Smith of Las Vegas; his sister, Crystal Smith of Las Vegas; his step-siblings, Daniel Green of Denair, and Debbie Finney, Denise Olson, Josh Ball and Jamie Faria, all of Turlock.
