A graveside service was held Tuesday at Lakewood Memorial Park for Randy Feathers, 73, of Denair. He died at Emanuel Medical Center with his family by his side.

Born April 1936 in Oklahoma to Buford and Adeline Feathers, Randolph came to Hughson in 1949 at age 13. He graduated from Hughson High School. Soon after graduation he met his future wife, Joan Nielson, in 1957. Six months later they were married and shared 52 years together. He was a long-time member of the Church of the Nazarene in Denair. For 9 years he drove the church bus, providing transportation to and from worship services and church events. Mr. Feathers enjoyed fishing, and attending swap meets. A member of NASCAR, Randy built race cars for 30 years.
He leaves behind his wife, Joan Feathers of Denair; his children, Randolph Feathers Jr. of Turlock, and Diann M Feathers of San Diego; his mother, Adeline Feathers of Hughson; his brothers, Roger Feathers of Denair, Larry Feathers of Loomis, Stanley Feathers of Turlock; and his grandson, Jason Feathers. He was preceded in death by father Buford Feathers.
