A graveside service was held Thursday afternoon at Lakewood Memorial Park for Raymond C. Overcash, 71, of Ceres. He died Friday, April 22, 2005 at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto.
Lakewood Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Born Feb. 14, 1934, Mr. Overcash was a native of Mooresville, N.C., and lived in Ceres for 21 years. He previously lived in Hayward for 30 years. Mr. Overcash was an ironworker and a member of Ironworkers union Local 78 for 50 years. He enjoyed travel and camping in his spare time.
He leaves behind his wife, Judy Overcash of Ceres; three children, Bobby Overcash of Salida, Gary Overcash of Hickman and Ray Overcash Jr. of La Grange; his mother, Arlene Bost of Statesville, N.C. He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Overcash; and one brother.
