A funeral will be at noon Thursday at Monte Vista Chapel for Capt. Raymond Dwayne Hill II, 39, of Turlock. The Ceres High School graduate died Oct. 29, 2005 in Iraq.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Allen Mortuary.

Burial will be at Lakewood Memorial Park.

Born April 14, 1966, Mr. Hill was a native of Pittsburg and lived in Turlock and was raised in Ceres. He graduated from Ceres High School in 1985. Mr. Hill joined the California National Guard in 1986. He attended St. Francis Episcopal Church. He was a member of Ceres 4-H, and enjoyed the outdoors and working on his 1965 Ford Mustang.

He leaves behind his wife, Dena Cakebread Hill of Turlock; two children, BreeAnna Hill and Alyssa Hill, both of Turlock; his father, Ray Hill of Ceres; three brothers, Ron Hill of Cypress, Rod Hill of Atwater and Russ Hill of Ceres; and his grandmother, Gertie Edwards of Escalon. He was preceded in death by his mother, Anita Hill.
