A Mass was held Friday at St. Jude's Catholic Church in Ceres for Reyna Torres Barajas, 44, of South Modesto. She died March 31, 2005 at Memorial Medical Center.
Burial was at St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel.
Born Aug. 12, 1960, Mrs. Barajas was a native of Sacapu, Michoacn, Mexico, and lived in Modesto since 1977. She was a homemaker who enjoyed flowers and gardening. Mrs. Barajas was a member of St. Jude's Catholic Church.
She leaves behind her husband, Jose Tito Barajas of Modesto; five children, Jose Rafael Flores, Jose Antonio Gonzalez, Alma Rosa Gonzalez, Gerardo Barajas and Jose Tito Barajas Jr., all of Modesto; her father, Miguel Torres of Mexico; four brothers, Sotero Torres, Antonio Torres, and Daniel Torres, all of Los Angeles, and Miguel Torres of Mexico; two sisters, Eidemira Torres of Mexico and Leticia Torres of Los Angeles; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, Sophia Torres.
