A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella for Rheba Mae Coker Poland, 74, of Ceres. She died Wednesday, July 21, 2004 at Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock.
Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Born Sept. 26, 1929, Mrs. Poland was a native of Oklahoma and had lived in Ceres since 1938. She was a telephone operator for Pacific Bell for 25 years. Mrs. Poland was a former vice president of Telephone Pioneers. She belonged to Order of the Eastern Star and the Shriners Auxiliary.
Mrs. Poland leaves behind her son, Don A. Poland of Ceres; and one grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Poland; and one sister.
