Private services were held in Ceres Memorial Park for Richard Curtis Van Norman, 65, of Wisconsin. He died Oct. 27, 2014 in Wisconsin where he lived.

Born Nov. 4, 1948, Richard grew up in Ceres and attended Ceres High School. He served his country and the Army by fighting in the Vietnam War.

He leaves behind his mother, Edna Van Norman; his wife, Jan Van Norman; two sons, Michael Anthony Perdue and Justin Van Norman; and seven grandchildren; and three sisters, Naomi Lasiter, Teri Turnbull, and Laura McCullough. He was preceded in death by Jess Van Norman.
