A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Lakewood Memorial Park for Robert E. Crane, 69, of Modesto. He died Friday, June 3, 2005 at Memorial Medical Center.
Lakewood Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Born Aug. 23, 1935, Mr. Crane was a native of Iowa and lived in Modesto for 32 years. He was a manager at True Value and Kmart stores. Mr. Crane was deacon at Central Avenue General Baptist Church of Ceres. He enjoyed reading and traveling.
He leaves behind two children, Susan Shewmake of Modesto and Les Crane of Vacaville, and five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Susan J. Crane; and his son, Donald E. Crane.
